Explorers is an after school Kids’ Club for all Primary School age children.
We run at the Bundanoon Uniting Church Hall, on Wednesdays, 3pm – 4.45pm most weeks of the school term, except for public holidays.  We will pick the children up from the Phillip Street school gate and cross them over to the Uniting Church hall on the corner.  Parents/carers need to pick their children up from the Uniting Church Hall by 4.45pm. Children from other schools or who are home schooled are very welcome to come. Explorers is an Anglican church activity and we only ask for $2 per week to cover costs of afternoon tea and to hire the Uniting Church Hall.
Explorers Kids’ Club was started in 2011 by the local Anglican church.  It is run by a team of very dedicated church members.  All of our leaders are Safe Ministry trained and we comply with the government Working With Children Check legislation, as we take the kids’ safety and well being very seriously. If you have any questions about Explorers, or about your faith, we’d love to talk to you more about that.
Our aim through Explorers is to help the kids to explore the Bible for themselves and to teach them how to read it, so that they can make an informed decision about what it says. Not to mention the cultural disadvantages of not being aware of the teachings of the most influential book ever. Our culture is steeped in Biblical references, like the sports commentator who calls a player Goliath or Lazarus.  Above all, we want the kids to get a true understanding of Jesus from those who know him, not from rumour. We want the kids to experience what a real loving Christian community looks like.  There is so much bad press around that we want them to be able to see for themselves what God is all about.  That’s a revelation that can change lives for the better.
Come along and have some fun with us any week.
